The
Championship currently has separate classes for both the earlier lightweight
1.6 litre mk1 MR2 and the later more powerful - but ultimately heavier 2.0
litre mk2. An invitation class for the 1.8 litre mk3 MR2 (Roadster / MR-S)
is planned and will be introduced during the 2009 season.

It is possible for you to drive your car to the circuit, race it, and drive home again if you wish, or you can build one specifically for the series which is what most will do. With a base Toyota MR2 MK1 car available for as little as £500 and the parts needed to convert it at around £1200, this is indeed affordable racing. Take a look through our Getting Involved section for more information.
The
MR2 Racing series provides a rare opportunity for those who thought motorsport
beyond them to experience the thrill of racing.
